Van Gogh and Monticelli

Van Gogh and Monticelli honors Vincent Van Gogh and Adolphe Monticelli. The painting is premier painting of Van Gogh Monticelli Collection 2024; originally etched and painted on February 10, 2024 and repainted on June 30, 2026. The acrylic on 16x20 inch cotton, stapled canvas is created and owned by artist and creator Shannon Comes At Night. 

Van Gogh and Monticelli honors two artists for their connection via Monticelli, who was inspired by Van Gogh’s creations. Shannon’s painting is inspired by both artists’ creations and use of mixing paints, as can be seen with a bag of paint in Van Gogh’s right hand. Shannon’s painting also shows how he imagined how both artists would paint a SCAN ‘24 painting. 
Shannon Comes At Night is a Native American, enrolled Blackfeet, who lives in Montana. He is educated at The University of Montana; MA, English; BA, English, Creative Writing; BA, Journalism, Print.
